Salem Willows Youth Fishing Clinic

Join us for a fun day of fishing at Salem Willows!  Marine Fisheries biologists and the City of Salem Park, Recreation and Community Services will be on hand to teach basic saltwater angling skills.  This is a FREE event!  Fishing equipment and bait will be provided for fishing from the Salem Willows Pier. 

Saturday, June 2, 2018 ( rain date: Sunday, June 3, 2018)
11:00 am - 2:00 pm
Ages: 7-15

Activities to include:
- Learn how to cast with spinning reels
- Test your knot tying skills
- Fun and educational handouts
- Gyotaku fish prints with paint
- Learn how to measure fish
- Catch and release fishing!

Space is limited to 30 participants for this event, so be sure to reserve your spot early. Registration and Media Release forms must be filled out prior to participation in the Youth Fishing Clinic.  Registration forms are available through the Massachusetts Division of Marine Fisheries, at Salem Park, Recreation and Community Services or on the City of Salem Recreation home page.  REGISTRATION FORMS MUST BE SUBMITTED TO THE  DIVISION OF MARINE FISHERIES.  YOUR REGISTRATION IS INCOMPLETE UNTIL THE DIVISION OF MARINE FISHERIES RECEIVES YOUR FORMS.
